Wisconsin has seen record heat this summer, but what better way to cool off than to sit on the boathouse deck at the Angel Inn and take in the annual Water Ski show! A few of our guests were doing just that earlier this evening. A hot Air Balloon even decided to join in the fun!

It was a gorgeous weekend in Green Lake and several of our guests had fun exploring Green Lake on our bicycle built for two and our Adult Tricycle cruisers. There are several bike routes available around Green Lake, but the one our guests enjoyed the most was the jaunt to Bayview Landing Ice Cream Parlor! Check it out on your next visit to Angel Inn!

With temperatures reaching the 90′s this weekend, people are flocking to Wisconsin lakes to escape the heat! This morning Angel Inn guests strolled a few short steps down to the boathouse deck to enjoy the cool lake breeze while enjoying one of Kathy’s fabulous breakfasts. Choices this morning included fresh fruit and a lemon poppy seed coffee cake, along with the main breakfast entrees of door county cherry French toast and egg croissant with Havarti dill cheese & granny smith apple

Women’s U.S. Open returns to Blackwolf Run in Kohler, WI – 75 minutes from Angel Inn

The Women’s U.S. Open returns to Blackwolf Run July 2-8, 2012 in Kohler, Wisconsin. The last time the Women’s U.S. Open was played there in 1998 – rookie Se Re Pak survived to win a 20 hole play-off. My most vivid memory of that event was Nancy Lopez and her playing partners walking up the 18th fairway at the end of their 2nd round waving white flags on the end of their clubs as they all missed the cut at the very difficult lay-out. Kohler is an easy 75 minute drive from Angel Inn in Green Lake, Wisconsin. People all over Green Lake spent the weekend pulling buried treasures out of their basements in preparation for Green Lake’s city wide garage sale to be held next weekend. If you enjoy a little treasure hunting, you won’t want to miss this annual event! There’s a rumor that frequent guests of Angel Inn - Neal & Janet may be renting a u-haul this year to help transport their bargains back home!
